The staff members of Borneo Divers have a knack of making you feel right at home. From the moment you get picked up at the airport to the point when you set foot on the white sand of Mabul island, you will feel more like a long-lost friend than a hotel guest.

Rooms have either twin or double beds, some of these in the typical Japanese style, close to the floor. All have air-conditioning as well as a ceiling fan and an attached bathroom with shower. Regardless of which room you choose, you need only walk metres to reach the beach or any of the resort’s facilities.

These facilities include a swimming pool with sunken bar, a communal TV room with satellite channels (can also double as a meeting room), a lounge and a beach bar that is open till midnight. Treat yourself to a massage, manicure or pedicure in the gazebo on the beach, or dive to your heart’s content with the help of the highly skilled and friendly Borneo Divers Dive masters. Internet access, both through the resort’s computers or wi-fi is free of charge.

Packages include three buffet meals daily, a free flow of hot and cold drinks (excluding bar items), toast and biscuits throughout the day, as well as three boat dives and unlimited house-reef dives off the jetty in front of the resort. Equipment rental is not included and diving trips to Sipadan require an additional RM40 conservation fee.

Borneo Divers is best for scuba enthusiasts that want a laid-back diving adventure.
