Giving you an animated introduction to the legends of the island and a great place for a stroll on a cool afternoon, Legend Park is built on a section of reclaimed land where the town of Kuah meets the sea. It is filled with statues depicting the many legends that surround every hilltop, stream and cave in Langkawi as well as giving visitors background on the possible origins of the mythical island’s name.
Shaded walkways and winding paths stretch through the gardens of the park and there is also a small beach. Admission is free and those that are not in the mood of walking can also rent bicycles right outside the entrance. |
