| Gunung Ledang (Mt Ophir) Expedition |

Day 1 0800am There’re 7persons in this expedition. Everybody was so excited to start the journey. We depart from Larkin Bus Station at 0900am with Damai Express Bus to Segamat. On the way to Segamat, the bus stop at Machap for a teabreak. Remember to bring your important documents such as your identity card or passport, because sometimes there will be an inspection by the police on the way to Segamat.

1530pm Continue our journey to Sagil by public bus (North West Transport). It takes 50minutes to reach Sagil. We have to walk about 1km to Gunung Ledang Resort.

 You can see the signboard to
Gunung Ledang and you can see the mountain from here….finally
we reach at the main entrance of Gunung Ledang Resort. We have to
pay RM1/person for entrance fees. You have to walk about 15minutes
to the second entrance where you have to register your name to the
security guard. Just walk about 10minutes to the Ranger Office for
registration (campsite registration & equipment). On the
way there, you can see the Gunung Ledang Resort. |
 At Ranger Office you will get 2 forms, one is for you to register your name, how long you will stay here and the second form for you to write all the things and equipment that you bring such as paper, plastic, shoes, slippers, cap, clothes and etc. You have to pay RM10/person for campsite (For student it’s only R5/person) and deposit RM50. You will get back your deposit when all the details about the things that you bring …same as you bring it back…Watch out !..the officer will check it. |

1830pm reach kolam puteri…. Looking for a place to built our tent. |
1245noon Reach Segamat bus station we have our lunch here.
It’s easy to find food stalls at Segamat and is not so expensive.
If you miss some of your things, just buy it here. 
1745pm
Start tracking to the Kolam Puteri, you have to climb staircase
to reach Kolam Puteri. On the way to Kolam Puteri, you can see Puteri
