Mari- Mari Dive Lodge on Mantanani Kechil Island
(GPS: N 06’ 42.554 E 116’ 21.012)

The island, shaped-like knife, has a beach that stretches up to 2.500 metres. The fact, that this thin island has never been commercialized, secures its hidden secrets from great number of divers and thus giving you a private but full enjoyment to the tropical island.

For those fascinated with authentic, rustic live- two fisherman’s villages (smaller on western and bigger on south-eastern part of the island) are reachable in 10mins walk from the Lodge.

Whether you are an experienced diver or a beginner, this place is a true divers’ paradise. The island promises the most diverse marine life with visibility up to 40 metres. Many species of rays flutter around like blue spotted ray and marbled sting ray amongst large schools of fish. It’s also unfairly blessed with age-old shipwrecks and critters inhabiting in and around it. Besides that muck diving is excellent with the quiet existence of imperial shirmps, jaw fish ribbon eels, seahorses, pink-eyed gobbles and the jaw-dropping blue ringed octopus, amidst nudi branch of all sorts.

Sunrise and sunset dives are being organized. You can also rent an underwater photographer and have a series of beautiful pictures at cost of 100 RM.

If you’re not only a watersport fan, a beach volleyball court is at hand (with friendly staff always ready to play). Guests can also have a nightwalk and try to spot fireflies (no promises however as it depends on the moonlight), try to create their own batik painting or enjoy an evening barbecue, accompanied by sounds of a guitar.
