Two Johor’s hidden gems, islands Aur and smaller Dayang, can be reached within few hours boat ride (ca. 70km) off the Peninsula’s east coast. Their secluded lagoons with stunning crystal clear waters, vibrating with colourful marine life, create the perfect diving and fishing spots.

There are about 20 dive sites around Aur & Dayang. The most popular ones are Rayners Rock, Lang Island (good for night dives), Turtle Bay, Pinang Island and the Pinnacles. Depth ranges from 7m to 67m, whereas the average visibility reaches about 15-25 meters. Diving season is between April and October, while best time for sighting Manta-Rays is from September to mid-November. Also Napoleon Wrasse, Bat Fish, Big Grouper, Angel Fish, Moray Eel, Barracuda, Jacks and the diver's best buddy, the Trigger Fish can be easily spotted.

The islands offer a picturesque landscape: giant rocks (the biggest one on Aur Island is called Batu Cina- Chinese Rock), covered with tropical lush greenery, surrounded by clean white sands and breathtaking turquoise waters. As the nature is this place’s greatest luxury, have in mind that the infrastructure and accommodation are quite basic. On both islets together there are around 120 inhabitants, a school, a little clinic, few small shops on Aur and absolutely no roads. One can walk around on wooden path on stilts, although it’s recommended to take a boat instead, as the construction is not the newest nor most stabile one.
