Aur island

There are about 20 dive sites in Aur. The popular ones are Rayners Rock, Lang Island, Turtle bay, Pinang Island and the Pinnacles (there are 3 sites here). Most of the dive operators do not go to Pinang Island and The Pinnacles because of the distance. My favourite diving sites are Rayner's Rock and the Pinnacles. Lang Island is good for night dives.

On average, the visibility is about 15-25 metres. Depth ranges from 7m-67m.

Common species of fish are Napoleon Wrasse, Bat Fish, Big Grouper, Angel Fish, Moray Eel, Barracuda, Jacks and the diver's best buddy, the Trigger Fish.

Diving season is between April to October. Best time for sighting Manta-Rays is from September to mid-November. The Whale Shark was also spotted in Rayners rock before. Photo gallery.
